[link widoczny dla zalogowanych] I look forward to seeing how this vote comes out, and what comments this post receives. We all have our own personal biases that we bring to debates like this, and there obviously is no “right” answer.
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych] For me though, the answer is pretty easy. While I don’t know that I could ever bring myself to root for the Jets, Mark Sanchez is the one guy out of these four that I would like to see win the Super Bowl. The story about he and Aiden Binkley literally chokes me up when I read it, and Sanchez has never come across as anything other than earnest and genuine, plus I’ve never sensed even a hint of arrogance from him. Perhaps others of you have a different impression of him, but I find him to be pretty damn likable [link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
[link widoczny dla zalogowanych] As for Big Ben, Aaron Rodgers, and Jay Cutler, the fact of the matter is that I have never particularly liked any of them. Rodgers was starting to grow on me, but seeing that video of him walking right past the lady with cancer was really telling. I probably came into this debate predisposed to picking Sanchez, so despite his Jets affiliation I am not really surprised that I did.

The last day of school. In the NFL, it’s known as departure day. The players meet for a final time as a team, clean out their lockers and head into the offseason.
“[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],[link widoczny dla zalogowanych] It always feels like that when you have to clean out your locker and say goodbye to your teammates,” wide receiver Ben Obomanu said. “Because you never know which ones are going to be back and which ones you’ll see in the offseason.
“So it’s a little different [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. It’s a tough time for a lot of us, but at the same time we’re used to it.”
Matt Hasselbeck used the same analogy when asked what he was feeling, as he stood in front of his cubicle in the empty locker room at Virginia Mason Athletic Center surrounded by reporters and TV cameras.
“It’s just like a summer vacation that you had in school,” said the Seahawks quarterback, who just completed his 10th season with the Seahawks and 12th in the NFL [link widoczny dla zalogowanych]. “But instead of three months, we come back Feb. 1. So it’s a lot shorter. I think when I started, it was a lot longer.”
School’s out for the season, of course, because the Seahawks lost their divisional playoff game to the Bears in Chicago on Sunday.
Today, they boxed up helmets, jerseys and other equipment. They got teammates to sign helmets, footballs and 12th Man flags. They exchanges hugs and best wishes. They had their exit physicals, as well as meetings with members of the team’s player personnel staff. They gathered one last time with coach Pete Carroll and general manager John Schneider.
Yes, the Cutler-George comparison are "tired" but they are also apt. Until yesterday, Jay Cutler had never played in a postseason game since high school and we measure QBs [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] in large part based on winning. Now, he has played his best this season, and has a good chance to distance himself from the George comparisons if he keeps it up, but that does not mean that they aren't valid [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] .
You do bring up some good points about Cutler, which is why I thought Reilly's article was off base. As I pointed out,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I just happen to not like Cutler. That doesn't mean you shouldn't, and it doesn't mean he isn't a good QB, but Cutler rubs me the wrong way and a lot of it is simply perception. I like my quarterbacks to *look* more like leaders than Cutler does,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and to be more diplomatic and less outwardly arrogant; that's just not Jay. I respect that he's honest and who he is, and I think that's why his Bears teammates seem to respect him too. I have no problem with your defense of him, and every criticism of Cutler's personality can be taken two ways. We just happen to disagree on some of it. I won't argue too hard with you because, really, the points are inarguable or immaterial.

[link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Running back. Or perhaps that should be the running game, as the Seahawks ran the ball only 12 times for 34 yards in Sunday’s loss to the Bears and leading rusher Marshawn Lynch had four carries for 2 yards. That after running for 111 yards on 31 carries in their Week 6 victory over the Bears in Chicago.
It didn’t help that the Seahawks lost tight end John Carlson (concussion) on their fourth play of the game and backup Cameron Morrah (turf toe) later in the first half – although he did return in the second half.
“We were scrambling a little bit on what we were trying to do offensively,” Carroll said after the game of playing without his tight ends. “That did set us off a little bit. But we didn’t even try very much because of that.
“We didn’t have a lot of offense with those guys. So you get stuck a little bit. But they’re very, very difficult to run against anyway, and that just amplified the chances in their favor. So it was very hard today.”
The Bears came into the game allowing averages of 90.1 rushing yards a game, to rank second in the league; and 3.7 yards per carry, to rank fourth [link widoczny dla zalogowanych].
