Motorola Knocks iPad for being ‘a Giant iPhone’ in new Video ,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych]
Motorola is gearing up for CES in a few weeks where it will be taking the wraps off of its previously rumored tablet. The company began promoting its new tablet in a video released yesterday. This new video takes a direct shot at Apple’s iPad by knocking it for simply being a “giant iPhone” and comparing it to historical stone tablets in a museum.
Motorola’s new tablet will run Android Honeycomb which is reported to be optimized for tablet devices unlike current Android versions found in other tablets. The device should launch on the Verizon network and may include video / TV services from Verizon’s FiOS service.
Next year is shaping up to be the year of the tablet and its clear that the competition is gunning for Apple’s iPad. Motorola is not the first to go on the offensive against Apple,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], RIM’s CEO recently took some shots against the iPad and even claimed the upcoming RIM PlayBook was “way ahead” of the Apple Tablet. Looks like 2011 is going to be a fun year to cover tablets.
