Smith of Santa Barbara,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Calif.,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and Paul R. Wassenaar of La Jolla, Calif. The Rev. Mark J. Pruitt, an Episcopal priest, performed the ceremony at Trinity Church.
The bride,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 27, and the bridegroom, 28, last month received M.B.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, from which the bridegroom also received a master’s degree in international relations. They are to begin work as investment banking associates in New York this summer. In July she will join the natural resources group at Goldman Sachs,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and in August he will work in mergers and acquisitions at Evercore Partners.(Related [link widoczny dla zalogowanych])
Mrs. Wassenaar graduated magna cum laude from Harvard. Her father has edited and compiled 10 anthologies of military history. Her mother, under the name Didi Lorillard, is the author of two New York art guides. She now offers etiquette advice through the Web site newportmanners.com.

Her maternal grandparents, Elaine Lorillard of Newport and the late Louis L. Lorillard, were the founders of the Newport Jazz Festival. She is also a descendant of Pierre Lorillard,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], who founded the P. Lorillard Tobacco Company in 1760.
Mr. Wassenaar graduated from Stanford. His father retired as a partner in the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman in San Diego, and is now a lawyer with his own practice in La Jolla.
