Royal Bank of Scotland Group Plc, Britain’s biggest government-owned lender, missed analyst estimates as losses from [link widoczny dla zalogowanych] Ireland climbed and profit from investment banking shrank.
The net loss was 1.1 billion pounds 1.78 billion compared with a loss of 3.6 billion pounds in 2009, the Edinburgh-based bank said today in a statement. Hester, 50, last February forecast the bank would return to profit in 2011 after three years of losses.
