Temat postu: By JAMES PARZIALE AND PAT LEONARD
1. Is this a honeymoon period for Mark Sanchez or will he be viable QB1 for the rest of the season?
Mr. Fantastic:
He’s earned his way back onto fantasy rosters as a backup and as a matchup start, but I’m not sold on the Sanchise as a week-to-week starter just yet. Four weeks isn’t enough of a sample to prove to me a player has arrived. His nearly spotless passing statistics are likely to take a hit against the physical Vikings, then he’s got the Broncos and a post-bye date with Charles Woodson and the Packers. If Sanchez gets to Week 9 with 12 total touchdown passes and three or fewer interceptions, though, definitely give him the nod against the Lions, Browns and Texans before the schedule toughens late.
It’s time to assess whether Mark Sanchez and
Kyle Orton Jersey
are for real, and to determine which big name running backs are going to emerge from some crowded backfields in Week 5. For more on the week’s fantasy prospects, check out Fantasy Friday, produced by News writer Ebenezer Samuel. Then stay tuned for Fantasy Huddle’s Week 5 Start ‘Em, Bench ‘Em.

2. Thomas Jones or Jamaal Charles: Which Chiefs running back is the better start against the Colts?
Big Game James:
They are both good starts going up against a Colts defense giving up 149.5 yards per game. Melvin Bullitt, the safety filling in for Bob Sanders, is now out for the season. The Colts defense is a different unit without Sanders, who has a similar effect to Troy Polamalu on the Steelers defense. The Chiefs are running the ball effectively - 161 yards a game - with Charles (seven yards per carry) being a compliment to Jones. Unless you have them handcuffed, Jones is an RB2 and Charles is a Flex.
Mr. Fantastic:
Even though Charles’ yards per carry advantage dwarfs Jones’ rushing clip, the Chiefs will keep Sunday’s game close by playing stingy defense and by bleeding the clock with Jones. Charles certainly is a threat to break a long run or two on the turf in Indy, but if he doesn’t score on home runs, Jones should receive several goal line carries against the league’s 29th-ranked run defense. Plus, despite Charles’ scampering, Jones’ 52-to-34 carries advantage makes it difficult to sit him for Charles if you own both.
3. Will
Kyle Orton Jersey

keep up his torrid pace? (
Kyle Orton Jersey

has the second most passing yards EVER after four games with 1,419 - Kurt Warner holds the record
)
Mr. Fantastic:
even though it isn’t fair to call Knowshon Moreno replaceable - and despite the fact his absence places extra burden on
Kyle Orton Jersey
- NFL teams normally can either run the ball or they can’t. Guess which one Denver is (55 yards per game on the ground)? Remember when Mike Shanahan coached the Broncos and seemingly pulled running backs off the street to rush 1,000 yards? Well, now Josh McDaniels’ offense has different strengths -
Kyle Orton Jersey
’s arm, his advanced understanding of the system and a speedy receiving corps. McDaniels certainly wants a more balanced offense when Moreno returns, but clearly the pass is clicking well enough that the run may end up complementing
Kyle Orton Jersey
, and not the other way around.
Big Game James:
There’s no way
Kyle Orton Jersey
can keep up this pace. He’s responsible for 88 percent of the team’s offense but has faced three of the NFL’s worst defenses in Seattle, Indianapolis and Jacksonville. The Broncos are first in the league in pass offense (339.5 yards per game) and last in rush yards (55 per game). Out of necessity, they’ll need to get their running backs more involved. And have you forgotten this indisputable fact? It’s
Kyle Orton Jersey
. Come on.
4. With Jerry Jones proclaiming a larger role for Felix Jones, does that clear up the Cowboys backfield scenario?
Big Game James:
He’s completely underutilized in the Cowboys offense. He has just 28 touches in three games,
MLB Jerseys
, so Dallas needs to use his explosiveness. Still, Tony Romo and Miles Austin are playing pitch-and-catch for the early part of this season, and those two will be the studs of this Dallas offense. Furthermore, Marion Barber hasn’t lost his job as goal line back. I’ll believe it when I see it when it comes to Felix.
Mr. Fantastic:
I do buy into the fact that Felix Jones will become a larger factor in the Cowboys offense immediately, but I don’t buy that he’ll stay healthy long enough for fantasy owners to reap the benefits. The famous El Hombre of 2008 head-to-head fantasy football championship fame has been telling me for two years to watch out for the day Jones becomes the Cowboys’ true No. 1 - and one of the better dual-threat fantasy backs in football. I agree Jones is capable. He has the offense, quarterback and talent to do so. But his injury history remains a concern. I firmly believe the reason the Cowboys have held him back so far is to prevent injury - not because they necessarily prefer Marion Barber or a three-back rotation.
On a side note, despite his yardage,
Kyle Orton Jersey
does only have a two-to-one, touchdowns-to-interceptions ratio with six TD passes and three INTs. That ratio needs to change for
Kyle Orton Jersey
to truly have a top flight season.
Week 5 Burning Questions: Can Mark Sanchez,
Kyle Orton Jersey
keep it up? »
That brings us to our questions of the week:
Big Game James:
At this rate he looks like the real deal. After four games, his numbers are mind-boggling: eight TDs, zero interceptions and 711 yards. He has no turnovers and has proved he can win a game practically on his own against the Patriots. He has a great rapport with TE Dustin Keller and WR Braylon Edwards and checks down to LaDainian Tomlinson with success. Now, he gets Santonio Holmes as an added weapon. He’s thrown over 200 yards in two of the three wins and almost didn’t need to against the Bills. My only concern is that the Jets will ground-and-pound some games and that could hurt his production.
