24 Hours In San Antonio, timberland shoes, Part V: Mission San Jose
Nowadays, the mission is nicely maintained by the Park Service and you can wander in and out of the many rooms built into the surrounding wall.  There are residences, replica handbags, storage areas, discount true religion jeans, defensive fortifications and, of course, louis vuitton replica, the Mission Church which still holds services.  The Park employees there can provide you with all the printed material and background information you need to make your visit to Mission San Jose a rewarding and enjoyable expierience.
Part Church, part farming community and part fortification, Mission San Jose was an outpost of civility and safety in what was certainly, at least on occasion, a rather uncivilized place.  At the time, hostile Indians were apt to attack at any time and the Mission walls provided a refuge for those seeking safety.   Teaching religion and farming  to the Natives was the method used to bring them into the cultural embrace of the Spanish and make loyal citizens out of them.

You can be reasonably certain that no attacks by Native Americans will take place.

Of the five Old Spanish Missions in San Antonio, cheap true religion, Mission San Jose is the one that will most fully allow one to imagine how the missions functioned.  Established in 1720, it was the second mission built in San Antonio (The first was the famous Alamo which was built in 1718).  The missions were built to foster the growth and acceptance of Spanish Culture and the Catholic Religion in what was then referred to as The New World.  The Spanish wished to make acculturated New World citizens out of the Native Americans.  A quick look around the south side of San Antonio certainly gives one the impression that the Spanish missionaries attained a large degree of success in pursuit of this goal.
