Charges Marlboro Cigarettes in Greenwich Shooting

A Marlboro Cigarettes 22-year-old Stamford man was taped by a jailhouse informant saying he shot an Old Greenwich gas station attendant in the back of the head “to buy some time to get away.”
Marlboro Cigarettes, Alain LeConte’s statement was included in an arrest warrant recently released to The Greenwich Time. LeConte, of Bertolf Road, Stamford,marlboro lights cigarettes, is presently serving time for a December 2009 Stamford robbery. He is also facing felony murder charges in the shooting death of a Norwalk service station attendant in October 2009.
The new warrant charges him with attempted murder in the Nov. 21, 2009, armed robbery at the East Putnam Avenue Mobil on the Run. LeConte forced the service station attendant to lie on the floor before shooting him in the back of the head, the warrant says. The attendant survived, but LeConte left a trail of evidence.
LeConte had purchased a pack of Newport cigarettes from the attendant before robbing and shooting him, the warrant said. Later that day Greenwich police found a box of Newport cigarettes and cash on the sidewalk several hundred feet from the gas station. They also found pieces of hardened plastic like that used in an Iver Johnson revolver, the weapon LeConte had on him when he was arrested for the Stamford robbery.
The victim in the Norwalk slaying was Jose Joaquin Morales of Stamford. The warrant was based on more than five hours of taped conversations in which LeConte told the informant he was the shooter in both the Old Greenwich and Norwalk robberies cheap marlboro cigarettes.
