Stolen from vehicle: While a woman was having dinner at a Monroe Avenue location, someone smashed the passenger side window of her vehicle and stole the purse that was on the front seat on Dec. 28. The purse contained a Canon camera, several gift cards and various credit cards. Marlboro Cigarettes stolen: Someone broke the back glass door of Smokers Choice, 2851 West Henrietta Road, between 11:45 and 11:54 p.m. Dec. 25 and stole thousands of dollars worth of Newport cigarettes Newport cigarettes Police are investigating the armed robberies of two neighborhood stores in York City Monday, which happened about four blocks and two hours apart. About 7:20 p.m., two men robbed Rod's Corner Store, 161 E. Philadelphia St., of cash and cigarettes, York City Police said. Marlboro cigarettes, Police said two males, both black or biracial, thin and between 18 and 21 years old, walked into the store. Both were dressed in dark clothing and had their faces covered, and one of them was brandishing a handgun, police said. The gunman was wearing red gloves, police said Cheap Marlboro Cigarettes. The robbers took cash and 15 to 20 packs of Newport cigarettes, then fled the store, police said. The clerk was not hurt, police said. Then, about 8:45 p.m., the American Mart, 451 E. Philadelphia St., was robbed of cash and lottery tickets, police said. Marlboro Cigarettes, One robber ran behind the counter, pointed a knife at the clerk, pulled him over to the cash register and ordered him to open it, police said. At that point, the second robber reached over the counter and grabbed cash and an unknown number of lottery tickets, police said. The clerk wasn't hurt, police said. Police said it's unclear whether the two robberies are connected, but detectives are investigating.
